I believe:

I am assuming that if you clicked on my political link, you are curious as to what my political beliefs are, and what I stand for....I will tell you...

I believe in big government. I don't buy into the John Birch Society b. s. that conspiracy is abroad. I believe in the democratic way. I believe in individual rights, the constitution, and the amendments. I believe that society has the potential to heal the sick, fund poverty, and provide conditions that support equality. I believe the government should provide for the common defense; both in and out of this great nation. I believe that bipartisan action is not a dream bigger then Martin Luther King. I believe Reagan's foreign policy with FDR's domestic policy will create a political deity.

I believe that education is the solution to many of society's problems. Catch a man a fish....etc. I also believe the deteriorating of the family unit is a major problem with society. I believe that certain industries compromise their ethics for money. I believe that as corporate profits rise, a percentage should be provided to the workers, which strengthens the consumer. I support free trade pacts and feel that our economic success depends largely on other countries.

I don't agree with monopolies, welfare abusers, greed, or tax loopholes that only the wealthy can find. I don't believe in oil for blood, nor for the oil companies themselves. I don't agree with privatizing social security. Fiscal irresponsibility, politically influenced intelligence, fighting wars alone, negative foreign policy, abuse of power, economic instability, hidden agenda, describe the present day administration. I don't agree with certain political talk show hosts who make a living out of degrading a country in which too many paid the price for with their blood. I disagree with euthanasia, and believe all life is worth fighting for. However, I do agree with the death penalty. I disagree with The Patriot Act, citing civil liberties and privacy issues which make such an action faulty.

I believe platforms do not make the party. I believe in marriage between a man a woman, the life of the unborn, equal rights for every American regardless of race, origin, religion, or sexual preference. I believe in stem cell research, handgun control, healthcare and welfare reform. I believe that the whole of worker's unions are generally well founded, and provide a good balance for shareholders.

I am a Democrat. I am a Liberal. I am also a practicing Mormon...and no, I don't believe this is a contradiction.

"In short, the liberal seeks to make better the day in which he lives, and he becomes therefore a crusader for the betterment of the human race." ~John A Widsoe.
