-------,

I am amused at this email.  Once again individuals are blinded by their party.  Just once I would like to see an email that says…Our president promised “this”, and here is how he accomplished that promise.  Unfortunately, that is not possible due to obvious reasons, so manipulation tactics are used to win support.

The best question to ask your self is, “Would the present administration have gone to war if they knew what they know today?”  The answer is no.  Not a chance.  Bush probably would have been impeached.  Yet this is exactly what happened.  Supporters of the war have quickly forgotten what our justified motivation for a preemptive attack was.  They have now tried to change the entire premise of the war.  Remember, attacking Iraq is such a small part of “the war on terror.”  There are several other nations that pose a greater threat to terrorism to the US.   If you really want to question how much the government wants to fight the war on terror, look at how badly they want to discover the cause of 9/11.  The white house tried to shut down the commission, but relinquished due to the large bi-partisan objection led by Republican Senator John McCain.

I also liked the part about Osama’s head on a platter for Clinton.  I have heard this many times, but the source can never be named.  Interesting.  If this was the case it would be buried deep inside CIA never to be shared with the public.  What is not discussed are the various authorizations President Clinton provided to capture Osama.  Once again, facts are left out.

The most interesting part of this email is the targeting of “Liberals”.  Let’s figure out exactly who doesn’t support the war.  CNN reports, “At the end of January, the country was evenly split -- 49 percent to 49 percent -- over whether the situation in Iraq was worth going to war over.”  OK, so half of our country must be “Liberal”.  Also take into account our “Liberal” neighbors.  Three of the five world superpowers did not believe there was enough evidence to go to war, and vehemently do not support the war today.   One of those super-powers is home to 1 / 4 of the world.  Not to mention millions of other “Liberal” people.

The most amusing part of this email comes when the author compares this situation in Iraq with Germany….I almost spit out my drink all over the monitor.  Did you know the Germans attacked half of Europe and were trying to control Russia as well?  Did you know the Germans had murdered 16 million people in camps, half of which were Jewish?  When genocide is involved, justification for war is MUCH DIFFERENT!

What did I get out of this email?  1/2 of our country and 2/3 of the world is “Liberal” and Saddam is the next Hitler.  Ironically enough, if I were to mass email that statement to everyone I knew, my credibility would become zero.
